How much do I actually get paid?

You earn 20% of your referral's first engagement with GMD. If they sign on for a $499 assessment, that's $99.80 to you, paid once as a single referral fee after their invoice is settled.

When and how do I get paid?

Once the client's first invoice has cleared, your 20% is calculated and paid out within 10 business days by bank transfer or PayPal — whichever you prefer. It's a single, one-time payment.

Do I need to be a GMD client to refer someone?

No. The Partner Program is open to anyone — clients, friends, other agencies, freelancers. If you know a business that could use us, you're eligible.

What counts as "my" referral if someone else also refers them?

Whoever submits the form first is credited as the referrer. That's why it's worth sending the form the moment the conversation happens, rather than waiting.

Do I earn anything from repeat or ongoing work with the client?

No. Your 20% applies to the client's first engagement only. Any further work GMD does with them afterwards — repeat projects, ongoing retainers, or additional services — is between GMD and the client, and isn't commissionable to you.

What if the business I refer isn't a good fit?

No harm done. We'll always let you know honestly if it's not a fit for us, so you're not left wondering. There's no penalty for a referral that doesn't convert.

The Fine Print

Partner Program Terms

Kept short and plain on purpose. If anything below is unclear, ask us before you refer — not after.

Commission is a one-time payment of 20% of the net amount the referred client pays GMD for their first engagement only, excluding any third-party costs GMD passes through (ad spend, licensing, contractor fees, etc.).
Commission applies solely to the client's first paid engagement with GMD. Any subsequent, repeat, or ongoing work GMD performs for that client is not commissionable and is at GMD's sole discretion.
The referral must be a business GMD was not already in active conversation with in the 90 days prior to your submission.
Commission is paid once, within 10 business days of the client's first invoice being paid in full.
You must submit the referral form before GMD makes first contact for it to be credited to you.
GMD reserves the right to decline a referral that presents a conflict of interest, or is outside the scope of services we offer.
Referrers are responsible for any tax obligations on commission earned; GMD does not withhold tax on your behalf.
GMD may update these terms going forward; any change will apply to new referrals only, not commission already earned on existing ones.
